hello, my name is hank adams
i’m a botanical artist based in central pennsylvania, on the east coast of the united states. as a rural, queer, working class artist i believe in art as a vehicle for both consolation and revolution.
my work is quiet. it is also ferocious.
through both modern photography and original photographic processes such as cyanotype, my process always involves botanical elements and natural textures.
i also have a wide threshold for the weird, the odd and the unexpected. i love to explore the lines between chaos and composition, creating careful borders and then splashing and crashing over them.
i am currently developing work in a new medium, plaster casting. stay tuned via my blog or on instagram for more details, and to learn when these pieces become available for sale.
