fine, botanical, art
loretta lucinda began as a small art shop brand, a home for my cyanotypes and flower pressings, my pen and ink drawings on the paper I pulled by hand
and so it has remained
some endeavors need room to grow, to become big and loud and take up lots of space
loretta lucinda, named after my great great grandmother, is content to do as she pleases
quietly
this is un-loud art
un-reactive creation
un-touched by anything larger than a simple devotion to slow, un-hurried self expression
I collaborate with the sun to create unpredictable cyanotypes, using an alternative photographic process:

I collaborate with the forest floor, with clay and plaster to create fine, delicate casts and rich black ink prints of ferns and herbs and grasses:

And I collaborate with the quiet hours of the night, sitting at my work table with a piece of my handmade paper in front of me and a pot of ink at my elbow:

each piece is a soft slow contemplation. a kind of conversation
