abstract, landscape, mood
I take a lot of long walks in the woods
meandering, perambulating, musing, cogitating
camera in hand, a simple stroll turns into a kind of story collecting
documenting moments, drifts of light and shadow. my own mood
what I come back with is a calmer mind, an easy spirit
and, of course, art

I have spent hours in a single long patch of ferns
pulled over and lost myself into a roadside patch of queen anne’s lace
belly-crawled to get close enough to a purple mushroom
risked my camera in the middle of a creek to capture the motion of the water over the rocks.
have done, and happily will do again.

my fine art photography is a mix of natural landscapes and botanical abstracts, all of them reflective of the mood of the moment in which I found them
